Recently much has been coming out on television about past-lives, particularly children
recalling who they were in past-lives, even if these lives children lived was
just 10 years ago!
Interestingly,
there are two types of persons drawn to past-lives. First, people who thinks
past-lives are really cool and want to find out who they were right away with
enthusiasm! Or there are other clients in the school of thought who are simply
just scared or confused or skeptical on how and where this fits into their
belief system, the interesting part of this is that both camps tend to still
ask the SAME questions:
“Do
past-lives really exist?”- In my
opinion, yes.
“What’s the proof?” – Case studies
“Does/Can
everyone have past-lives?” –I think so
yes. Exceptions do occur*
“How does
this fit in with many of the religious beliefs and foundations I’ve been taught
or raised with since I was young?”- However
you want to.
“What does this mean about the and my soul?” –
Not sure to be honest. Not a theologian
and whatever you feel comfortable having it mean.
“Am I really
ME if my soul has been in other times or been other people?”- Yes.
“How do we
know these kids just don’t have active imaginations and are making stuff up?” Because
they’re “imaginations” are validated with facts, facts they never could have
been or could comprehend at their developmental brain level. Case Example: Google the James Leininger
Case.
And more
importantly for my fellow hypnotist and
clients “How and why does hypnotic
regression help clients release these past-lives and even present-life traumas
and repetitive patterns? How soon can the results be seen?
I won’t address any of
the soul-stuff because honestly I think everyone will come down to their own
conclusion of past-lives anyway. I’m not a theologian or philosopher however
there are other text out there that shed more light on the journey of the soul,
soul creation, etc which you can find on my website at www.operationhighervibrations.com
1. Meredith, Do Past-Lives Really Exist?
What is the Proof?
In my belief, yes past-lives absolutely exist. I’m not here to prove to
you that past-lives exist or don’t exist, however just to address some of the
important questions when past-lives come up in conversation with a friend or
even a potential client. I view
past-lives as memories on a soul level. Often times our soul-memories leave
little bread-crumbs of clues, so the only way I can really address this
question is by offering my own experience of a past-life.
Clue 1- As a child, I often felt at “home”
and very comfortable in certain places such as colonial Williamsburg, or
reading and watching movies about certain historical time periods. To
illustrate, my dad loves and still loves to watch westerns with John Wayne. I,
on the other hand, loathe westerns and often times as a child would leave the
room because I felt a very strong sense of injustice and anger toward the
cowboys in the movies usually accompanies by strong tightness in my gut and
throat. Even in playing as a kid, I rarely wanted to be a cowboy. When the film
Dances with Wolves came out I was
enamored and for a 5 year old loved the movie and made my dad watch it with me
again and again.
Clue 2- A few years ago, I would find myself
being in a perfectly good mood driving down the road in La-la land when this
sense of rage and anger would take over my thoughts. I suddenly would become
aggressive and very angry, for no apparent reason. It could be a perfectly
bright, sunny day, with zero traffic and I would still feel this way. A few
weeks went by like this and it began occurring every day. It became scary, I
didn’t feel like I was going to harm anyone or myself for that matter- but I
didn’t understand the sudden onset. It did become troubling though since I’m
usually a pretty happy person.
Clue 3- Childbirth terrified me. No literally
just the birth. It wasn’t the physical pain element that is often associated
with birth but the actual ACT itself. And in addition to that was holding
babies. Yup, holdin’ babies. Holding babies is nice for most people but for me
at the time whenever I held my friend’s babies I would feel strong sadness well
up inside of me, instead of the longing and baby craving that most women have.
So, I only held a baby unless a friend absolutely insisted, or I held them
until the sadness came which was usually a minute in, in which case I handed
them back over to their respective parent.
Now at the the time my main concern was the rage all the other clues were
just completely isolated to my mind at the time and really never game them any
thought.
But my main concern was the rage. Having already being certified in
past-life regressions, I thought, “Wait I’m a regressionist by training, duh
regress to the cause/answer/root!” Employing the help of a fellow regressionist
and friend we were able to dig to the bottom of the rage.
Now, at this point in time most of my past-life memories were all
pleasant ones.
The Root of the Rage
Even today recounting my experience of this past-life is an emotional one. I saw myself in chains, I was a young native
American girl about 12-14 years of age with long dark hair being led by men on
horseback and systematically marched. Although in chains and feeling a sense of
loss but also a strong sense of familiarity because behind me was a familiar
energy from this present-day life!- My very own sister, she too being walked in
chains behind me. The hypnotist moved forward to the next significant event, I
sensed it was farther north either close or IN Canada. I was the same girl but
older now, 16/17 and very very pregnant and running through the woods. At first
it looked gleeful but as I looked closer, it was fear, she was being chased by
dogs and running for her life-pregnant. I sensed that she was trying to run
away from something obviously the dogs but something bigger than that. The
regressionist moved me forward again, I/the girl was flat on her back, tied by
her feet and hands, giving birth in a cabin. The cabin was placed in the woods
but as I saw other children standing outside listening to the screams. The
birth was painful, loud, and very bloody. In her last few moments of life, she
saw her baby being picked up and carried away. She never got to hold the baby,
name it, or even see its face. The baby would be raised in this place with
other children The girl died of hemorrhaging and blood loss. The sense of rage
she experienced during her entire birth toward her captors was amplified.
Ultimately it was the sense of, “How could another human being do this to
another?” The session was wrapped up with forgiveness and emotional release
modules and I was brought out of the hypnotic state.
When I put both feet on the ground in this life so many dots became
connected.
This past life was emotional, traumatic, and I cried A LOT. However it explained my loathing of western
movies and anything remotely of that time era that was not Native American ,
the sadness that took over me when I held a baby, and the rage- Benefit- knocked
3 birds without even intending too! I left my regression session with more than
just an answer but also healing on a soul-level.
The days afterward I felt lighter, I was able to smile and hold babies
with no sadness, and the rage episodes have ceased completely. I felt a
stronger sense of self, peace, and personal identity.
Prior to my regression, I knew very little about Native American History
other than what I had been taught in 4th grade Social Studies which
only addressed the basics of Native tribes on the East Coast. After a bit of
digging on the internet, from what I experienced in the past-life was my sister
and I being marched on what we now know as the Trail of Tears, the girl was
later sent to the notorious re-education schools for native children where
often systematic abuse occurred and often times these children were stripped from
their mothers at birth. And these schools were found in Canada.
And funnily enough it also explained my sister’s recent PhD declaration
in Indigenous Studies at the time.
How Can We Get All this Information
In a Session?
#1 Record. The hypnotist guiding you is actively engaged usually
will/should record your regression portion.
#2- Information Gathering on Part of
the Hypnotist
The hypnotist/guide plays detective. It is the hypnotist part to ask as
questions that gather important information in the hypnotic state- For example
if your hypnotist ask, “What are you wearing? “Okay you’re wearing a dress. Is
this a dress you bought or made?”
What year does it feel like?
Are you wearing shoes? If so what kind of shoes?
What do you do for a living?
“What are you doing?” and the
client responds, “Gathering corn.” The hypnotist needs to ask questions like, “
What is the purpose of gathering corn? Do you own the corn? Does someone else
own it?”
By asking questions like these and in this manner You can find out the
person’s social class, we’re they rich or poor, we’re they self-sufficient or
completely dependent on another person,
#3 It Happens In A Snapshot or Quick
Image Blip.
Having experienced being the client so much happens when in Regression. Some
clients experience the regression as the first person- they are the ones
walking, talking, smelling and experiencing it “in body”. Some clients are more
second person- they watch the life like watching a movie. Other clients
experience both at once- popping in and out of person they were in past-life.
Watching one moment but then feeling themselves walking or running next. If the
life is past-life or a present trauma and is particularly heavy or maybe even scary-
I move the client to watch farther away like watching a Drive-In movie.
Can Everyone Have/Had Past-Lives? Old souls vs. Young souls?
Yes and No.
I think most people walking amongst us today have had past-lives here on Earth
as a human soul whether they’re consciously aware of it or not. I think some of
us are more drawn to regression or the metaphysical/woo-woo than others because they’re souls are ready
and calling for a conscious awakening
to remember! And upon remembering- heal, clear out the dense stuff, and move
forward.
However exceptions
do occur. In my opinion, there are people who do not have a past-lives because
THIS is their first life-time being human on a soul level. Meredith, Are you
saying what I think you’re saying? And I’m saying yes, there are people who are
what we would coin as “ETs”. They’re not ‘aliens’ in the sense of X-files- for
point of reference souls who are energetic beings from other dimensions coming
out to try earth. It sounds out there BUT its occurred in my office and its
fascinating! It’s like being an exchange student… on another planet.
Often times
these are ‘young’ souls. These are people who we’ve often seen who maybe never
have a grip on their finances, they don’t understand the concept of money, and
generally HAVE TO TRY EVERYTHING including the dangerous stuff life has
to offer- and I’m not just talking about a “phase” But All. The. Time. No
matter what they’re age. And the funny
thing is they are usually the kindest people and often behave quite naïvely, no
matter their age! We all know someone like this.
From a
regression point of view, these are often souls who just haven’t practiced
being human or they’ve only been human on a soul level maybe a few lifetimes. That’s
not to say this makes them free of covering their necessary responsibilities of
every-day life, but I hope gives a deeper understanding into explaining their general
naivety and innocence in just not “getting it together”. To an old soul, Young souls often tend to have
A LOT of energy all the time and A LOT enthusiasm all the time-about
everything- it’s like a permanent
life cheerleader.
Conversely,
Old souls, like myself, are kind of just over this human thing and even just
the ‘everyday stuff’, we get tired of dealing in the details-we’ve been there
done that A LOT!
For example,
I have always had a strong resistance to getting dressed, picking out clothes,
and matching outfits. I attributed it to being a bit of tom-boy growing up but
as I’ve transitioned into adulthood it hasn’t gone away.
If I could
just wear a uniform every day I totally would (I’m sure I had a military
past-life since I love the concept of uniforms, so convenient and easy!) Shopping
is tedious and overwhelming for me. Same
with styling my hair. If I could, I would just throw it up in a bun every day. Imagine
spending hundreds of lifetimes having to pick out clothes and style your hair,
you would eventually get sick of the daily routine too!
Another
example of an old soul, is a young woman who is about 20. Unlike most of her
peers, she’s very content writing poetry. Her writing is soulful and hits so
deeply that you would think by reading it she was at least 100 years old.
Instead of going out she prefers to stay home on a Friday night with her
family. By our society standards her peers would consider her a ‘homebody’, but
she’s an old soul whose already spent several lifetimes doing the “party phase”-
her soul has “been there done that”, so to speak and is no longer feels the urge
to relive those experiences for this lifetime.
When do I know when to use regress to
root? How do I prepare clients for a regression? About 1/4 of clients come for regression because they’re
excited to explore past-lives. The other 3/4 of clients come because they say,
“I keep repeating x pattern, thought,
behavior/”
X pattern
has usually been something along the lines of a repetitive pattern or behavior
that has not responded to suggestive hypnosis, or they swing between extremes.
Examples below:
-
Constant
anxiety or fear
-
Attracting
the same romantic partners, different faces and names but same energy.
-
Being
wealthy then struggling financially more than several times- constant extremes.
-
“I feel like
something is missing”
-
“I
have everything but I’m still not happy.”
-
“I
need to move forward but I’m not sure where to start”
-
Incessant
old beliefs that are holding them back. “I’ve lost the weight but I still think
I’m over-weight.”
-
“Nothing
I do is ever enough.” (Common belief among first generation migrants or
children of)
In
approaching the above with a regress to the root/cause/answer we are able to
put the client in the driver seat of the problem. By getting themselves “out of
the way” so speak with hypnosis we can more readily address the subconscious
mind which in my belief holds all of the answers past, present, and even future.
The Keys to Success in Regression is Readiness.
Readiness is
best established when
1) The
client is ready to make the change. This applies to any kind of hypnosis
suggestive or regressive.
2) The
client is open, ready, and willing to the regression process and wants answers!
Yay!
3) Most
importantly they trust you! Sufficient and Genuine rapport has been built
between you and your client.
4) I often
suggest a “prep” session of relaxation prior to the regression session. Usually
about a week before. Or even better and more cost effective for your client-
giving your client a pre-recorded
relaxation session to listen to prior to seeing you- 1)Your client understands
and becomes comfortable with the general hypnotic process, your voice and your
energy. As a result wins all around- 1)
Client is prepared for this regression process 2) You have saved them time and
money, and as a result 3) Better trust is built between you and client.
And How and Why does Hypnotic
regression help clients release these past-lives and even present-life ’wounds’?
From my own
experience with clients the reason regression hypnosis delivers such
therapeutic like results is because the energy that is often times holding
clients back is indeed from the past- this life or past or BOTH- clients are
sometimes aware its past stuff but often times it’s just a hunch, a hunch that
is really their soul saying “Hey! I’m ready to clear some crap! And replace it
with some positive light!”
By
Experiencing or even just seeing the past wounding in a hypnotic state allows
the client to see it from a different perspective literally and figuratively,
and with a variety of healing modules such as inner child coaching/blending,
release of anger, guilt, or sadness to the white light, just to name a few- the
client has actively removed and cleared dense energy therefore communicating to
the mind, body, and spirit that there has been a release. The release allows
for new space to be made for the new positive suggestions to create more
positive future oriented patterns in thought or behavior.
Client and Hypnotist Post- Regression
Protocol
How soon can the results be seen? Results can be seen pretty
immediately.
How long
should I book a regression session? I block two hours for intake and post
session recap. Regressions should be done as your last appointment of the day,
or a Sunday, a day where things are more mellow for your client.
What should they do after a
regression session?
I recommend most clients to do a subsequent session of suggestive hypnosis to
move the client forward usually a week later. They should go home afterward and
REST. If the regression was particularly emotionally intense they should go
home immediately, take an Epsom salt bath, rest, avoid any violent TV shows or
news for a few days, and drink plenty of water. They will need time to process
the experience physically, mentally, emotionally, and even spiritually. That
being said, If you’re client has a big event coming up like a job interview,
wedding, or presentation they should wait till after for their regression
especially if it’s an intense topic that is being explored such traumatic
childhood event of abuse. Not every client needs rest or will be so blown away
by their regression, but it’s better for client and hypnotist to prepared for
anything to arise during a regression.
No one walks to walk down the aisle or be in a make/break interview with their
inner child trauma still fresh in their mind!
